I started making pictures when I was ten years old, developing my film and printing the pictures with a slide projector exposing paper that was taped on the wall. A year later my father build a darkroom and we both started developing and printing at home. In nine years I used four camera's, a Kodak Retinette, agfa (with 110 film) and a Praktika super TL. When I left my parents place photography stopped for two years. I bought my first camera Olympus OM10 when I was 21.

The OM 10 was followed up by a OM4Ti, OM1-n and a Olympus Trip. I collected a few more after I moved to Basel in Switzerland. Thanks to a friend of mine, Paolo, I started collecting camera's. At the moment I have 40 – 50 camera's not of great value, but some typical models like a Kodak brownie 'C', Kodak Retina Reflex, Olympus pen, Kiev 60, Nikon F3, Voigtlander Bessa, Agfa Clack and a few Russian Leica copies.
When we were expecting our first child we bought the first Digital camera with movie function, the Olympus C-3000Z, This was still the snapshot box, while I was using the OM4Ti.In April 2004 I bought the Canon 300D (Olympus still did not have a proper digital product) with the 17-55 mm (28-90 for 35mm) and a adapter for Canon to use Olympus lenses. The Macro lenses from Olympus (80 and 135mm for autobellows) are still in use ! Later I bought the Sigma 105mm Macro and recently the 170-500mm. Since 2008 I have a second camera the Ricoh GR2, A fine piece of handcraft with excellent results. The reason is that since 2005 I only make pictures in RAW format.
So this resulted finally in the vaneeden.ch photo website. It is based on the free simpleviewer flash plugin. All Photographs on this site are mine and can not be used by others without my permission. High quality copy can be send or sold, depending on the aim of the request.
